Our Mission and Vision
The mission of the Nature Research Society is to conserve, improve and maintain Turkey's wildlife and habitats. For this;
• It conducts research and monitoring and disseminates its results.
• It contributes to the development of nature conservation awareness in the society by conducting studies on public opinion formation, education and capacity building activities.
• It prepares action plans for priority species for conservation. It prepares management plans for important habitats and it contributes to and supports the process of preparing management plans.
• It supports the development of national nature conservation policies, Works to strengthen the legal infrastructure and monitors the practices at the national level.
The Nature Research Society carries out these tasks with the support and contributions of its employees who are experts in their fields and its volunteers. Additionally it aims to ensure the widest and most effective participation of the relevant local and national level institutions and local community.
