Bird Count and Evaluation of the 2017 Breeding Period of Nallıhan Bird Sanctuary Wildlife Improvement Area

This project was carried out by the Nature Research Association on behalf of the 9th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, Ankara branch office of the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs (currently the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry).

The aim of the study was to determine the bird species and their populations breeding in Nallıhan Davutoğlan Wildlife Improvement Area, to evaluate the effects of the recently increased cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) population on other bird species and habitats and to conduct studies for the control of the cormorant population.
